ILOILO City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas has issued a strong directive to telecommunications companies, mandating the removal of their poles and wires along Calle Real as part of the city’s underground cabling project.'I am issuing this strong reminder to all telecommunications companies regarding the deadline set for December 16, 2024, to remove their wires and poles along Calle Real,' Treñas said.Calle Real , also known as J.M.
He also warned companies that fail to comply or submit extension requests.“For those companies that have not submitted a request or shown any intention to comply, I will take decisive action. I am instructing the City Engineer’s Office to dismantle their wires and poles. Non-compliance will not be tolerated,” he said.The Iloilo City mayor emphasized the significance of completing the project, highlighting its importance for the city’s development and the preservation of its cultural landmarks.
