"But having more Australians in work is one of the best defences we've got against these major global economic challenges. That, and stronger wages as well."The Australian Industry Group says Australia's business leaders expect strong conditions in 2023, but are preparing to manage inflationary pressures, skills shortages and supply chain disruptions.

"These are most keenly felt in higher-skilled occupations, but are evident across all skill levels, industries and geographic locations," Ai Group chief executive Innes Willox said in a statement.
