'At the moment, we are open to any companies, we are not limiting it,' Anthony Loke said.
"This is why the RFI is being conducted. The RFI is basically to ask for proposals from any private companies on the feasibility of implementing the HSR project based on," the Transport Minister told a press conference at the ministry's headquarters here on Wednesday .
"So, by having a RFI, of course we can have more detailed proposals," he said, adding that a few companies have approached the ministry to show their interest. "With the RFI, they can have access to documents that have been conducted by MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd and studies that were done before."They can study those reports and come up with a proposal to the government through MyHSR Corp," he said, adding that this was just at the feasibility stage on whether the PPP model can work."There are a few companies, as mentioned in the media, that have shown that they are interested, but I do not want to pre-empt any particular company.
"Our role is to gather information and proposals. At the end of the day, the evaluation and assessment will be conducted by our professionals in MyHSR Corp," said Loke.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
