KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — Three travel firms will move their bus ticketing services online in a bid to ease heavy queues and congestion at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said today.balik kampung“Last year, so many people complained of the congestion during Christmas because they had to print their boarding passes at TBS. This took too long.
“Users need only to scan the QR code the company sends you and you may board the bus directly. This will help avoid the issues of congestion last year,” Loke told reporters when met at TBS today where he met with travellers and gave out goodie bags with Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“The QR code will be sent along with a GoPass logo. This method will begin from April 17. For those who purchased tickets before the 17th, the companies will send you an email with the QR code. Last year, TBS was flooded with people eager to make it home to vote in the general election in November and during Christmas.Much of the delays were due to needing to print out their tickets physically at the location, which caused chaos as some missed their busses as a result of the waiting or malfunctions.
