Disregarding traffic signs topped the list of violations among motorists in Metro Manila, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). Data from the MMDA Single Ticketing System (STS) revealed a staggering 65,933 drivers flouted traffic regulations. Other common offenses included illegal parking, motorcycle dress code violations, and disregarding the number coding scheme. The MMDA is implementing the STS to standardize traffic enforcement, payment processes, and vehicle plate/driver's license retrieval. This initiative aims to improve transport and traffic management, reduce corruption, and streamline interactions between motorists and authorities.

Disregarding traffic signs emerged as the most common violation among motorists on the road, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority .

Other common violations included riding without a helmet, failing to use seat belts, over speeding, and loading or unloading in prohibited zones. The initiative aims to establish effective transport and traffic management in Metro Manila and to help cut red tape, limit opportunities for corruption, and eradicate forms of negotiations between the motorist and the apprehending officer.

According to the STS Go-Live Dates report, the centralized digital enforcement system provides clear visibility of the STS database, which includes real-time record-keeping of issued tickets, efficient online payment for drivers, and real-time connectivity for Land Transportation Office verification.
