ABC viewers took to social media to slam the “cold-hearted” treatment of two tradie heroes in an interview following a horror bus crash west of Melbourne, with some forced to change the channel.

The two tradesmen were driving behind a B-double truck when it hit a bus containing 45 students aged five to 11 from Exford Primary School, withDaniel Green and Cameron Chalmers were two of the four tradesmen that quickly sprung into action to free children trapped after the bus had flipped on its side.

Both men appeared shaken as Ms Ferguson asked them to describe what they found when they ripped off the sunroof of the tipped bus. Daniel Green and Cameron Chalmers were two of the four tradesmen who quickly sprung into action after the bus crash. Picture: ABC 7:30 / Facebook
