Two Star investigations are finalists in the Jackman Excellence Awards, a prestigious recognition of exemplary journalism in large and small media outlets.
“These two projects, at their core, are about shining a spotlight on government policies and decisions that impact people’s lives. They involved efforts from across our newsroom and beyond to collaborating news organizations. We are thrilled to be named alongside the other nominees,” said David Bruser, the Star’s Investigations Editor.
Other nominees in the large media category include The Globe and Mail, Global News and APTN, and CTV News.“The compelling stories chosen as finalists covered subjects from across the country and beyond — social policy, sports, politics, environmental concerns and Indigenous affairs.
