called Black people members of a “racist hate group” who white people should “get the hell away from.”

Adams made the comments after citing a survey by conservative U.S. polling company Rasmussen Reports, which asked people if they agreed with the statement “It’s OK to be white.” Adams noted that the poll said 26 per cent of Black respondents disagreed. The Star is among hundreds of publishers — including the New York Times, The Washington Post and the USA Today Network — who have denounced the remarks and moved to drop the long-running comic about office culture.

“We made the decision in conjunction with the editors of the Metroland regional dailies, with whom we share a syndication agreement.” He later agreed with one user who wrote that Adam’s comments “weren’t good” but have “an element of truth.”
