HAMILTON — It was a much more convincing win this time. But the Toronto Rock must be glad not to have to see the Georgia Swarm again.
“We wanted to be better than last time out,” Rock head coach Matt Sawyer said. “In our past three games, we found ways to win which is good.”
Tom Schreiber led the Rock with four goals to bring his season total to 31 and put him back in the NLL lead in that department. Small ended up with three. Dan Craig scored twice as did Stephen Keogh, Challen Rogers, and Zach Manns. Latrell Harris added one, shaking off a check and scoring on his backhand. Rookie Josh Dawick made the first home appearance of his career. The son of Rock owner/general manager Jamie Dawick recorded three assists.
“We basically have the same group as last year,” Rose said. “I think how last year ended didn’t sit well with us. We know we want to be hosting a playoff game and we buckled down during Christmas and talked about what it would take to have the road go through Hamilton.”Article content
