The byelection is scheduled for Nov. 4, with polls open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a city news release. Advance voting will be open on Oct. 27 and 28.Nominations open July 22 at 8:30 a.m. and close Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. Potential candidates cannot incur campaign expenses or accept campaign contributions before filing nomination papers with the city clerk, Tuesday's release said.
More information about the byelection, including details on voting by mail, will be made available on the Toronto Elections website in the coming weeks and months, according to the release. Ward 15 is bordered by Yonge Street to the west and Leslie Street to the east. The ward is bordered by Highway 401 to the north, with its southern border running roughly along the Don River, just above the Evergreen Brickworks.
