OTTAWA — A new poll suggests Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberals have regained some popular support after the Conservatives enjoyed a surge when Pierre Poilievre became leader last month.
The survey asked people which federal political party they would most likely vote for if an election were held today, and 33 per cent of decided voters chose the Conservatives. While the Tories are in the lead, the data shows they lost one percentage point of support among decided voters since the same question was asked last month, while the Liberals gained three points.
