The Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization has announced the Top 40 candidates for the 2023 edition of the pageant, with some familiar faces to battle it out for their spot in El Salvador.
Also trying their luck are beauty queens Samantha Alexandra Panlilio, who represented the country in Miss Grand International 2021; and Emmanuelle Fabienne Camcam, who finished third runner-up in Reina Hispanoamericana 2021.
Pageant fans will also see vlogger and content creator Mary Angelique Manto and Binibining Pilipinas 2022 candidate Christine Juliane Opiaza. The winner will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant scheduled in El Salvador at the end of this year. She will have the chance to start anew the country's placement streak in the competition and clinch its fifth crown.
