Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau was attending a youth meeting in Yukon on this date in 1970. Not surprisingly, the 15th PM was asked for his views on marijuana during his appearance. “Perhaps I shouldn’t go on this, but people who do it, I don’t pass judgement them any more than I judge a person who takes alcohol,” he said frankly.
