PETALING JAYA: The three vehicles a man believed to be high on drugs crashed into on Tuesday (July 18) included an MPV belonging to the Tourism, Culture and Arts Minister.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said in the incident which occurred at 7.25pm Tuesday, only the driver of one vehicle suffered minor injuries to his calves."He was having dinner nearby when the pick-up truck rammed into his MPV," he said when contacted on Wedneday .It was earlier reported that motorcycle patrol units were making their rounds when they spotted a man behaving suspiciously in a pick-up truck along Jalan 19/1.
They attempted to stop the vehicle but it sped off and rammed into three parked vehicles near Plaza 33 here. A 43-year-old man was arrested following the incident and a urine test came back positive for methamphetamines.ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said checks revealed that the truck driven by the suspect was a company vehicle.Those with information on criminal activity can contact the police hotline at 03-2052 9999.
