And so I held back, until the day I sent her a message, expressing my condolences for what she was going through and telling her I wanted to tell her son’s story. She was eager and thankful for the opportunity to share her feelings. The words “Guilty” to the counts of second-degree murder and interference with human remains against Rogers reverberated in the courtroom.When people asked me about the trial, I told them it was very difficult to sit through. I’ve covered murder or attempted murder trials before. None as graphic as this one.
