Flash floods affect 57 houses in MelakaAt least 57 houses in Melaka Tengah and Alor Gajah were affected by flash floods following heavy rain for more than two hours since 3 pm. The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat (JPBN) Melaka said that in the Alor Gajah district, at least 22 houses were affected, involving residents in Kampung Gapam, Kampung Bukit Tambun, Kampung Parit Melana, and Kampung Bukit Balai in Durian Tunggal. In Melaka Tengah, 28 houses in Taman Melawis Bukit Beruang, Ayer Keroh Height (2), and Kampung Sungai Putat (5) were affected as of 8 pm. As a result, the Melaka Tengah District Disaster Management Committee has activated a temporary relocation center (PPS) at Dewan Japerun Ayer Keroh for the purpose of relocating the affected areas, and the flood victims' registration process is still ongoing.
