SHAH ALAM: Akta Universiti Kolej Universiti 1971 perlu dipinda pada perkara-perkara tertentu seperti kebebasan mahasiswa dan akademik berbanding memansuhkannya secara keseluruhan.
“Berkaitan AUKU, itu mungkin menteri dengan ketua setiausaha kementerian akan teliti. Tetapi, dalam pendidikan tinggi harusnya ada akta, pengawalan IPTA dan IPTS mungkin berbeza sama ada digabung atau digarap itu saya tiada pandangan keras, itu terserah. Menurut, Mohamed Khaled Nordin, pindaan akta tersebut lebih memfokuskan kepada Seksyen 15 dan 16 iaitu peruntukan yang berkaitan dengan pelajar.
