NRL: Despite reassurances from the NSW Blues camp, Nicho Hynes' fitness for State of origin Game 1 is still up in the air.
That’s what one expert has labelled the injury situation surrounding Blues halfback Nicho Hynes, who failed to train at New South Wales camp on Wednesday due to a troublesome calf .The only place to watch every game of every round LIVE with no ad-breaks during play is Fox League , available on Kayo. New to Kayo? The NRL360 panel all find it concerning that Hynes isn’t yet training properly with the team.
“From all reports out of camp in the Blue Mountains, he will be fine, it’s just precautionary. They expect him to train tomorrow, but I think it’s a concern.”Michael Carayannis agrees, believing Hynes needs as much time on the training paddock as possible considering he’s forming a new halves partnership with Jarome Luai.
Maroons legend Gorden Tallis then queried whether Hynes, who hasn’t played in the halves for the Blues before, needed every possible day of camp to train. Hooper again raised his concerns, pointing to Cronulla’s game against the Panthers last weekend, which saw Hynes leave the game early.
