KENT, Wash. — For two periods, the Vancouver Giants looked to be inching closer to their first playoff series win since 2009-10.The Seattle Thunderbirds rallied from a 3-1 deficit to start the third period to defeat the Giants 4-3 before a crowd of 2,270 here at the ShoWare Centre, evening up the best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinal series at 2-2.
Vancouver hasn’t won a playoff series since beating the Portland Winterhawks in six games in April, 2010 in the conference semi-finals. That team went on to lose to the Tri-City Americans in six games in the Western finale.This series goes back to the Langley Events Centre on Friday. Game 6 is Saturday here in Kent, while Game 7, if necessary, would be Tuesday at the LEC.
