Parts of NSW are in the firing line for gale-force winds, with a weather system also forecast to bring rain, hail, snow and thunderstorms. 9News
Parts of New South Wales including Wollongong, Nowra, Bowral, Batemans Bay, Katoomba and Cooma are at risk of damaging winds averaging 45 to 55km/h with gusts of up to 100km/h.
"A vigorous westerly flow will develop over southeastern NSW from early this morning ahead of a cold front, extending over the northern ranges later this morning," the bureau said.The Snowy Mountains could see even stronger winds averaging 60 to 70km/h with blizzard conditions forecast above 1300m.
