A Toronto man has confirmed his sister and her daughter have died in a deadly plane crash in Ethiopia.

Prof. Pius Adesanmi described as a"towering figure in African and post-colonial scholarship," was among the 18 Canadians killed in Sunday’s crash of an Ethiopian Airlines jet.
