Officers spotted the getaway vehicle leaving the area and gave chase. A police chopper was used to track the suspects from the air, enabling officers to set up a spike belt to stop the vehicle, which turned out to be stolen. The three suspects fled on foot, but were later caught with the help of a police dog.
Police recovered a “substantial” amount of cash stolen from the store. They also seized an imitation firearm and masks and tools allegedly used in the break-and-enter. Daniel Louis Dreger, 40; Marshall Took, 33; and Tyler Lee Bennett, 34, are facing charges of robbery, intent to commit an indictable offence with face masked, and possession of stolen property.Copyright Postmedia Network Inc., 2023
