PETALING JAYA: Three people, including a woman, were seriously injured after their car crashed during a police pursuit. A four-year-old boy, who was in the car, suffered light injuries.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the chase started early yesterday in the USJ area when officers in a police car noticed that something was amiss with the vehicle.In their bid to escape, the car knocked down a toll gate barrier at the Seafield toll plaza.

“At Exit 605 of Putra Heights, the driver lost control of the car after an aggressive turn, causing the vehicle to crash into a corner. “Two men and a woman in their 20s and 30s suffered serious injuries while the four-year-old boy who was slightly injured. The suspects have been brought to hospital for treatment,” he said.Based on further investigation, it was found that all of the suspects had previous criminal records, and one of them is currently wanted for a narcotics case.“As of now, no arrests have been made and the suspects are still unconscious,” he said.

The case is being investigated for obstructing a public servant from performing his duty as well as reckless driving.
