JOHN'S, N.L. — Three men accused of unrelated murders were arraigned in Newfoundland and Labrador Supreme Court Wednesday morning, Feb. 1, where dates were scheduled for their individual jury trials.

“You’re not going to be heard in front of the king,” the judge responded, prompting Ginn to ask, “Why not?” “I’ve been trying to see a doctor since June,” Ginn told the court, holding up a stuffed toy monkey and saying it was a therapy doll he has carried since childhood for post-traumatic stress disorder. “Why has it taken so long, since June, when I was first incarcerated? I haven’t seen a doctor yet. I should have been allowed before now.

Sulurayok spent about a month in custody before he was granted bail with conditions to allow him to return to Arviat and continue working while awaiting trial.
