Thousands of Kia Sorento vehicles are being recalled across Australia over fears that a transmission issue in the vehicle’s electrical oil pump could lead to a serious - or even fatal - crash.

Owners of the popular SUV are urged to contact their local dealers to schedule a critical transmission software update.
