It is fair to say the Tim Houston government had boosted the Heating Assistance Rebate program from the modest $200 a year under the previous government. But the $1000 rebate from last winter has been reduced to $600 this season.
Last, question, and it's a bit of a personal one on my front, which is, we've had five years since Avis Glaze recommended the dissolution of school boards, elected school boards in Nova Scotia. It was never perhaps as, effective as it could have been. The system wasn't necessarily as responsive as it might have been, but we don't have perhaps that layer of connectivity to our school system.
