As a disabled, queer, non-binary artist, Zoja Kalinovskis explains: ‘I know what it’s like to feel unseen.’ The British photographer began the ongoing series Unseen ‘to challenge the narrative around how disabled people are viewed, confronting the ableism that permeates our society and flipping the script on what disability ‘looks like’ by intentionally including those with invisible disabilities.
London-based photographer Jonangelo Molinari made this portrait of the Rwandan-Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa as he showed some of his favourite possessions for a video. These included items connected to his childhood, following his family fleeing the Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi minority and settling in Scotland.
