South Australian pensioners, concession card holders and low-income earners will be eligible for a $300 travel payment if they’ve been affected by floods.

So far 120 road and 10 ferry services have been closed, resulting in longer travel times for residents who can no longer cross the river. “The one-off $300 Travel Assistance Payments will be available to SA Government concession and Centrelink recipients whose principal place of residence is in one of the nine affected council areas,” a state government spokesperson said in a media release.“Pensioners, JobSeekers, Austudy and Abstudy recipients, DVA Gold Card, Low Income Health Care Card, and Commonwealth Seniors Card Holders will be able to apply, along with recipients of Family Tax Benefits A or B.
