Sales of Matildas scarves were up by 2650 per cent on Saturday and Sunday compared to just two days prior, as the Matildas narrowly beat France on penalties to secure their place in the semi-finals.Fans are racing to get ahold of the iconic Matildas scarves, with eBay sales up 26 times on the weekend compared to just two days prior.

More than four times as many Matildas jerseys have been sold in the past fortnight compared to the last two weeks of July, while sales of beanies have more than doubled. In a sign the Matildas' success may be inspiring others to take up the sport, sales of Matildas-branded soccer balls have also increased 50 per cent.
