Early on the morning of Feb. 17, a man approached city hall and tossed three eggs at the mayor’s second-floor office window. CityNews reported that the thrower was one of several protestors who had been removed from a budget meeting earlier in the week, after Tory had announced his resignation in the wake of a sex scandal.

Now a man has filed his intention to run for mayor under the name Gru Jesse Allen, though he says he is known merely as Gru. He joins a list of hopefuls that on May 4 included , running alphabetically from Bahira Abdulsalam to Nathalie Xian Yi Yan.
