The Arrernte elder, artist and author died last month having dedicated decades of her life to helping future generations of Indigenous Territorians.

A recipient of an Order of Australia Medal in 1997 for her work in the Central Australian First Nations community, Dr Turner worked in numerous roles throughout her life.
