The Guardian has been accused of citing a “disputed” and “discredited” fact checker in an extraordinary article attempting to smear Sky News Australia’s Kennedy Award nominated commentator Peta Credlin for unearthing the full Uluru Statement from the Heart.

The Guardian has published an astonishing article plagued with missing context by citing a discredited and disbanded fact check ing unit in an attempt to undermine Sky News host Peta Credlin following a prestigious Kennedy Award journalism nomination.

The RMIT FactLab which Ms Meade relied on for her column in The Guardian has been widely discredited, following a controversy over its “fact checks” during the Voice to Parliament debate, with, RMIT FactLab was temporarily suspended by Meta during a probe over its bias and compliance with the International Fact Checking Network credentials.

Institute of Public Affairs Director of Law and Policy John Storey told SkyNews.com.au it was an “unusual argument” put forward by The Guardian against Credlin’s journalism. Speaking to SkyNews.com.au, Mr Storey said The Guardian should not have cited the FactLab given the RMIT's dismantled public reputation.
