There’s only one thing better than a good dupe: the real thing. During music’s biggest night, we couldn’t take our eyes off of the bestbeauty looks, from Victoria Monet’s perfect nude lip to Tyla’s mesmerizing glow, to Janelle Monáe’s gorgeous winged liner. When we finally did tear our peepers away from the TV screen, we got to digging.beauty products that the makeup artists used on the music industry’s A-list before they hit the red carpet.
Makeup artist Alexander Echeverri used MAC Cosmetics MACximal Lipstick in “Kinda Sexy” paired with Chestnut lip liner, for Monet’s perfect nude lip. Shop the pairing and recreate the versatile look yourself. “Today is such a major celebration; SZA truly radiates inside out and I wanted the makeup to reflect that,” writes makeup artist Deanna Paley. “The most nominated artist and I created her signature captivating cat eye with a touch of gold to pair with her stunning dress.” Paley used Pat McGrath products, like the Mothership V: Bronze Seduction Palette.
“This look was inspired by Tyla’s glowing and natural signature style,” says Matthew Fishman, the makeup artist behind Tyla’s glam. Fishman used Pat McGrath Labs Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour Balm in “Forbidden Fleur” for the singer’s otherworldly glow, and a combo of Vaseline body cream, oil and lotion, to extend Tyla’s radiance below the neck.
