That’s better than the 1.8 per cent that economists were expecting and well ahead of the Bank of Canada’s 1.5 per cent projection, but beneath the surface, the data shows the economy is not growing fast enough to outpace population growth.
Shares in Lululemon went from downward dog after the bell Thursday to tree pose this morning after the athleisure giant revealed quarterly earnings yesterday and. The company posted higher profit and revenue, but the latter came in lower than expectations. The company says its full year revenue guidance is now expected to be in a range of up to US$10.48 billion, down from $10.8 previously. Earnings are expected to be up to $14.15 a share, down from $14.47 previously.
