Each year, Covers tracks the largest wagers on the Super Bowl right up until game time.
We’re back! Yes, it’s another Super Bowl, and another edition of the biggest Super Bowl bets. While the lines and odds for the Big Game are still cooling on the windowsill, a few major wagers have already been placed.
Caesars Sportsbook reported Monday that within an hour of posting their Super Bowl odds, they had taken 24 spread or moneyline bets of $10,000 or more. Of those, Caesars said, 21 were on the Philadelphia Eagles, who are squaring off against the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl.Article contenttaking as of Monday was a $131,584.75 wager in Washington, D.C. on the Eagles -2 , which would win that punter $119,622.50.
“Even though it was six figures and a big amount, we decided to hang with our number because we liked where we were,” said Adam Pullen, assistant director of trading at Caesars. “In the Super Bowl, a six-figure wager is not always going to move the number because you’re going to handle much more on this game than any other game.”
