Residents in one Australian state are being urged to check if they are entitled to some of the $152 million in unclaimed money that includes vehicle licence and rental bond refunds.

An extra 102,000 records of what the state government has dubbed lost or forgotten money has been added to Western Australia's Register of Unclaimed Money.

"Treasury holds unclaimed monies of any value for an indefinite period of time and does not charge any fees to return the money."
