TFC, starving for a win, heading into the lion's den looking to shred Atlanta United apart Via Beezersun

“They have some very skillful players,” TFC coach Bob Bradley said. “I think everyone saw what Almada was capable of doing in the second part of the season last year, so he starts out with these two great goals. He’s still quite a talented player. They’ve got other guys that are talented and good on the ball.”

But for the last two weeks, the club has been forced to train inside the bubble on turf because of the cold weather and the fact that the fields at the training facility are covered in snow. Bradley said being forced to train on turf the last two weeks might help a little in terms of preparing to play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, though he added that the turf in Atlanta is different than the new turf laid down in the bubble in Downsview this year.

TFC right back Richie Laryea said the new turf inside the bubble is certainly an improvement over past years. “But I believe that it’s trending in a good way and the hope is he’ll be back sooner rather than later,” said Bradley.
