Tetaplah berdoa meskipun rasa bosan

Sri Paus Fransiskus menggesa para seminarian untuk terus berdoa di hadapan Tuhan walaupun ia “membosankan” katanya kepada para seminarian dari Seminari St. Mary, Keuskupan Cleveland, Ohio, pada Mac 6 lalu di Vatikan.Semasa audiensi itu, Sri Paus menyeru seminarian dari Amerika untuk “mendengar” terutama kepada Tuhan dan mengajak mereka agar “memberi ruang kepada Tuhan setiap hari” serta “menghabiskan masa bersama- Nya dalam doa, mendengarnya dalam diam di hadapan tabernacle.

“Memang berdoa itu adakalanya membosankan. Lebih-lebih lagi Tuhan itu diam dan seolah-olah tidak mendengar doa kita. Tetapi kita perlu sabar dan mendengar apa yang Dia mahu katakan kepada anda, khususnya pada waktu sukar,” pesan Bapa Suci. Pada akhir pesannya, Bapa Suci menyeru seminarian untuk menyerahkan diri mereka sepenuhnya kepada Tuhan dan umat-Nya, hidup tunggal atau selibat untuk menyebarkan kasih dengan hati yang tidak berbelah bahagi.
