In total ten lines, including orzo, linguine, fusilli and conchiglie, have moved into the new packaging which is 100% recyclable and can be put into household recycling bins. “The new paper packaging works just as well as the old plastic but can be popped into your normal recycling bin with other paper.
In 2019, Tesco launched its 4Rs packaging strategy - remove, reduce, reuse, recycle. So far, more than 2.3 billion pieces of plastic have been removed from its UK business.
