Good turnout for first in-person run in 3 years
It was just like the old days at Belleville’s West Zwicks Park Sunday morning. The trail around the park was filled with walkers and joggers of all ages taking part in the annual Terry Fox Run.
At the end of the day over $36,000. was raised, $6,000. more than the $30,000 goal, and run organizer Vicki Samaras says worry over COVID-19 didn’t seem to have any effect on the turnout .
The Belleville Terry Fox Run has now raised $986,000. for cancer research since the event began in 1981.Run organizer Vicki Samaras.
