MEMBERTOU, N.S. – The host Sydney Mitsubishi Rush wrapped up the Telus Cup national under-18 hockey championship with a loss on Friday.
Ethan Dickson, an Acadie-Bathurst Titan prospect, scored four times while Liam Arsenault had a pair of goals. Drew Murphy, Derek Andrews, Michael Arsenault, Lucas Thibeau, Eddy Doyle and Jordan Shaw also added goals for the Wild .TELUS CUP: Sydney Mitsubishi Rush still searching for first win, downed by Markham Waxers on Thursday
Murphy opened the scoring for the Wild at 5:37 of the first period. Kensington added to its lead late in the second period with goals from Andrews and Dickson and 18:19 and 19:05 respectively. Meanwhile, the Brandon Wheat Kings of Manitoba finished the tournament round robin with a 7-4 win over the Markham Waxers of Ontario.Worthington and Jaxon Jacobson added single markers for the Wheat Kings.
