One boy was flown to hospital while a girl was taken by road after their e-scooter collided with a car on the Sunshine Coast.
Two teenagers have suffered serious injuries after an incident involving an e-scooter and a car on the Sunshine Coast.
Police believe a 13-year-old Mountain Creek boy was riding an e-scooter with a 13-year-old Buderim girl on George Street in Alexandra Heads about 7.15pm on Tuesday when they collided with a silver Suzuki Vitara wagon travelling on Mayfield Street.The driver of the vehicle and multiple bystanders stopped to render immediate first aid to the teenagers ahead of the emergency response.
The boy was flown from the scene to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and the girl was taken by road to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with critical injuries. The LifeFlight crew then later airlifted the female teenager, who was in a serious condition, from Sunshine Coast University Hospital to Queensland Children’s Hospital.Both teenagers suffered multiple traumatic injuries but they were downgraded from critical to serious.Police called on witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward.
