After they demanded money and narcotics, only a small amount of cash was taken from a register. After realizing the safe was on a time delay, police said, they left without taking anything else. The next day, police were called to another robbery, this time at a currency exchange on Yonge St. in Richmond Hill.York police were then able to connect the three suspects with other robberies of pharmacies in Milton, Toronto and Mississauga between May 9 and Monday..On Monday, police said, investigators followed suspects driving a stolen vehicle in Pickering. The trio arrived at a pharmacy and got out of the vehicle wearing masks and gloves. Police then arrested them.
Two 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy were charged with multiple offences, including robbery with an imitation firearm, disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
