NSW Police have completed their investigation into a teenager who allegedly hurled a racist comment towards the South Sydney star, while the NRL’s investigation is nearing its end.
NSW Police have issued a warning to a teenage boy accused of hurling a racist insult at South Sydney fullback Latrell Mitchell during a match.
The NRL integrity unit and NSW Police launched investigations after South Sydney officials informed ground security, but sources revealed conflicting versions of events had emerged.their investigation was now completed. It’s understood no charges are expected against the boy.“Following inquiries by officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command, a 14-year-old boy has been spoken to and issued a warning under the Young Offenders Act,” NSW Police said in a statement.
