JOHOR BARU: A 15-year-old boy was kicked, punched and stomped by a group of students in Taman Bestari Indah here, allegedly over a girl.
Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the victim reported the incident at around 4pm on Monday saying that he was attacked by seven boys, leading to injuries on his arms, thighs, abdomen and pain throughout his body.“After receiving the police report, we arrested seven teenage boys, including a foreign national, at different locations in Johor Baru between 5.30pm and 9.34pm on the same day.
The seven suspects would be brought to the Johor Baru Magistrate’s Court to obtain a remand order under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code for them to be investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting without weapons, he added.In the video, the victim was seen flung to the ground by several boys, who proceeded to kick, punch and stomp him while others were heard laughing loudly in the background.
