Team Ireland, comprised of Denis Lynch, Daniel Coyle, Bertram Allen and Conor Swail won the BMO Nations Cup on Day 3 of Spruce Meadows.
Team Germany was second with 10 total faults, while Canada was a popular third with 16.
“It’s really exceptional,” said Lynch, who had four faults on Brooklyn Heights. “We came here with a plan and without brilliant teammates this wouldn’t happen. Bertram approached me on Thursday morning and he said ‘I think we can win this’. After he said that to me, I had a really good feeling we could actually win. We’re over the moon.”“I was a little disappointed in the first round having the time fault,” he admitted. “I was able to come back and clean it up in the second round.
Team Germany comprised of Richard Vogel, Kendra Claricia Brinkop, Jorne Sprehe and Hans-Dieter Dreher.
