The 31-year-old from Quebec is the only hockey player to have scored goals in four different Olympic hockey finals.
Stacey has a similarly strong resume as a two-time Olympian who won silver beside her new fiancée at PyeongChang 2018, and gold at Beijing in 2022. She also has gold medals from Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014, and is the great-granddaughter of Hall of Famer Francis Michael “King” Clancy, wearing No. 7 in honour of him.
Canadian ice dancer Tessa Virtue congratulated the couple on Instagram, writing “Couldn’t be happier for you both! What an exciting chapter,” under their engagement post.
