Police spokesperson says alleged female victim was not a student
DEER LAKE FIRST NATION — A 40-year-old from Toronto who had been working as a teacher in the community faces a charge of sexual assault.
The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service confirmed a complaint had been received on July 14 about a sexual assault that had allegedly occurred. The investigation led to Pouria Tabaeini, who was working in the community as a teacher, to be charged with sexual assault.Tabaeini has been released from custody and is due to appear in court in September.
