The Singapore Idol wants everyone to know that it’s “never too late to start”.

The singer, who’s turning 42 in December, recently posted this video documenting his one-year fitness journey. And we’re green with envy at how fit the OG Singapore Idol is.

The singer, who participates in Spartan races by, wrote: “I’ll be 42 years old [this year]…. and I'm in the best shape of my life.”For those who are not familiar with Spartan races, they are obstacle courses of varying difficulties, and are known to be really gruelling. In September last year, Taufik took part in his first Spartan race, and ended up placing second in his age group.

In May this year, he came in first in his age group for the 10km Spartan Trail race in Miri, Sarawak.Taufik added that he only got into fitness a year ago, but as you can probably tell from these pics, he’s seeing some serious results.“Doesn't matter how old you are or what shape you're in. Key is discipline & consistency. Start slow & progress. If I can do it, so can you. Never too late to start,” he wrote. Wise words to live by indeed.
