AFL: David King has taken aim at Rory Laird and the Crows after their disappointing effort against the Swans.
The Adelaide Crows have been given one last whack heading into the off-season, with North Melbourne champion David King labelling the performance of two-time All- Australia n Rory Laird “embarrassing” during last Saturday’s 31-point loss to Sydney .
But amid the Crows’ eventual loss to the Power and Rachele’s underwhelming performance on the big stage, teammate Laird spoke to“He continued on with it instead of letting his footy do the talking,” Laird said on radio. King went on to highlight two specific moments from Saturday night where he had a kick-out of his smothered , while also distinctly running away from a loose ball contest alongside opponent Brodie Grundy.
While the Crows are relatively well-placed at time of writing to recruit South Australians Jack Lukosius and Alex Neal-Bullen from the Gold Coast and Melbourne respectively, they will still need to see plenty of improvement from their core group ofAnd while Neal-Bullen and Lukosius would be great for their best 22, they are still in search of another game-breaking midfielder.
